Before we moved to Peru, we spent several years in training with TMS Global/ The Mission Society. This included training on Philosophy of Missions, Cross Cultural Training, Culture Shock, Mission Shock, Core Ministry Strategies, Spiritual Warfare and World Religions. We also had a 15 week course on missions called Perspectives and 5 weeks at Missions Training International in Colorado along with one year of language school, which we completed in Costa Rica.

We arrived in Peru in March of 2014, and some everyday things that we face are learning the culture and building relationships. We've been very active in the local orphanage where we were permitted to start a Bible study, we have two feeding/ Bible story programs, a men's group that discusses everyday problems and temptations, a weekly Bible study at the women's prison, a weekly Prayer meeting in our home and we host short term teams. We have also put together a Peruvian team to help share the love of God.

The only reason we're here is to share Christ. There are many ways of doing this, and we have many plans. But, through this whole process we've learned that when we have plans, many times, God's are different and always better. We will be obedient to God's calling and follow where He leads. We know there will be many challenges to face, but we also know the Holy Spirit will guide us. Only through the Holy Spirit, God's kingdom will be glorified.

We are still in need of partners to join us in Peru. Just click the Partner with us tab to find out how. When we partner with a church or individuals financially, we, as good stewards, will provide the following: newsletters and updates (as long as internet is available), a website with current info, photos and videos, in addition to visits when we are back in the States.  As we partner with churches and individuals we are carrying out what Paul talks about in 1 Corinthians 12, followers of Jesus being one body working together. We are one body, when someone supports us they are working with us in Peru. They are carrying out The Great Commission. God has not called everyone to “Go”, but He expects all of us to be a part of missions.
